4.The Indian Badminton Tournament 2019 was held at K. D. Jadhav Indoor Hall in New Delhi from 26 to 31 March 2019 and had a total purse of $350,000.India’s Srikanth Kidambi lost to Viktor Axelsen of Denmark 7-21, 20-22 in the men’s singles summit clash.
5.Researchers from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M), Gyan Data (an IIT-M incubated company) together with experts from ESPNcricinfo have launched Superstats, a new metrics to analyse the game of cricket.Superstats will provide the viewers with a new experience wherein where match information, analysis and projection are backed with data science.
6.The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has decided to reintroduce Cricket in the 2022 Asian Games to be held at Hangzhou, China.Earlier Cricket had featured in 2010 and 2014 Asian Games but was dropped from the 2018 Asian Games.The first Asian Games were held at New Delhi, India in 1951.In another major decision, the OCA has agreed to invite Oceania countries including Australia to compete at the 2022 Asian Games. Oceania athletes participation is limited to sports which qualify for the 2024 Olympics through Asia, including volleyball, beach volleyball basketbaall,fencing,soccer.
